and then rationality comes screaming back—why would he ever like you like that when you barely talk to him, he barely talks to you or even attempts to , and every time you do interact you’re awkward as fuck; must i remind you of her?

and then the optimist questions back—maybe he does think of you like that, maybe he’s just as shy as you are, maybe…like you…he doesn’t really know how to communicate with you. they’re just good friends, what do you expect. if you were a shy person, you would stick with people you felt comfortable and familiar with.
